1. Returns, refunds and cancellations
Returns
Chocolate Act will refund or exchange any purchase provided it is returned undamaged, in its original condition and in its original packaging. Please contact Chocolate Act on 0404 068 565 within 7 days of receiving the order to obtain an exchange or return agreement. A return or exchange form will be sent to you via fax, email, post or may be picked up, which should then be returned along with your purchase. Please note that it is recommended that you insure your Australia Post package. For agreed returns, your payment will be returned in the same form as initially paid, less any delivery charges. Purchases returned without a verbal and written agreement, will be refused. Refunds are not given for used or incorrectly ordered goods nor for colour and texture variations in materials or products.
Insurance
At Australia Post, a basic parcel postage includes compensation of up to $50 for loss or damage during carriage. As we acknowledge the importance of delivering your purchase to you safely, we send your bomboniere via registered post to insure your parcel for an additional amount of up to $100. This allows the provision of up to a $150 insurance claim on your bomboniere, so costs are redeemable should unforeseen circumstances arise.
Damaged and misplaced orders
In the event that your package arrives to you damaged, please alert its carrier of the damage prior to opening. If your merchandise is damaged, it is very important to save all packaging in order to pursue a claim against the carrier. You may claim for a damaged purchase from the carrier.
Cancellations
You may cancel within 24 hours of placing your order. Cancellations cannot be honoured after 24 hours from the initial order, as orders are processed immediately upon receipt.
2. Limitations, restrictions and guarantees
Delivery distance and scope
Orders and deliveries are for Australian residents only. We are a retail supplier only; we do not wholesale.
Product availability
All orders are subject to product availability, changes or delays. In these circumstances you will be notified within 7 days from the date of receipt by telephone or e-mail. You will then be given the option to wait for the new delivery date or to cancel for a full refund. In the event that a new circumstance comes to the fore after placing your order, Chocolate Act reserves the right to cancel your order for a full refund.
Guarantees
Although purchase of chocolates (and confectionery) does not come with any guarantee, all chocolates will be sent using a suitable cooling system and appropriate packaging to ensure our products arrive to you in their original condition. Please store all products containing confections in a cool dry place until the event date. If you live in Melbourne Metropolitan Area it can be arranged that you come and pick up your order to ensure a safer and quicker delivery (by appointment only).
